Zoonotic Diseases (diseases spread from animals to man)
A number of zoonotic diseases are found in Florida. Investigations are conducted when zoonotic disease infections are identified so epidemiologists can identify and eliminate or control the source. This also allows for targeting of public education and information efforts.
