DOH-INDIAN RIVER TO HOST APRIL HEALTH FAIR

Indian River County– DOH-Indian River invites the public to a health fair on Saturday April 22, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The event, which includes a free lunch, will take place at the DOH-Indian River Wabasso office, located at:
“We are excited to host this event at our new site in Wabasso,” said DOH-Indian River Health Officer Miranda Swanson. “By working with our community partners, we can help to improve our community’s health and wellbeing.”
This free event is sponsored by DOH-Indian River in Wabasso with numerous participating partners and vendors. The highlight of the event will be a sickle cell disease awareness symposium panel featuring statewide health experts. A free lunch is provided to all participants as well as a vegetable plant giveaway courtesy of DOH-Indian River and Florida Blue. This event will also feature services and information such as HIV testing, health screenings, blood donations, nutrition education, Treasure Coast Food Bank information, United Against Poverty’s Member Share Grocery Program, and much more.
