Indian River County - Men are invited to attend to the 6th Annual "Man-up" Event on Saturday, November 7, 2015, from 8:30am to 12:00pm at the Fellsmere City Hall, 22 South Orange Street, Fellsmere, FL 32948. This free event is sponsored by Indian River County HIV/AIDS Awareness Network, Fellsmere Action Community Team, and Florida Department of Health in Indian River County.


"This event gives men in the community the tools to make positive decisions regarding their health and well-being", said John May, HIV Outreach Coordinator for Florida Department of Health in Indian River County.


Topics and Presenters:


• Keynote speaker: Moses Cantu

• Man up and Read: Principal Ramon Echeverria

• Understanding HIV/AIDS: Eric Martinez

• Man up during a police encounter: City of Fellsmere Chief of Police, Keith Touchberry

• Domestic Violence: Cidanelia Brozenick

• Bullying and Manhood: Indian River County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Daryl Loar

• PACE/NAACP: Tony Brown

Free HIV and STD testing will be provided, as well as PSA Screenings by Indian River Medical Center, blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring.


Sponsors are providing a free breakfast to participants.
