COVID-19 Vaccine Information
We recommend opting in to ALERT Indian River, Indian River County’s alerting system by going to www.alertindianriver.com for updates and announcements for expansion of vaccination criteria and notifications for additional vaccination clinics and appointments. Please note this is not an appointment system or waiting list for the COVID-19 vaccine. Updates will also be shared on the County’s social media and website.
COVID-19 Information and Advisory
Florida Department of Health issues Public Health Advisory advising all individuals to social distance and wear masks in public (except in certain situations as noted in the advisory) when social distancing is not possible. The advisory also contains information about precautions for vulnerable and high-risk individuals and gatherings of private citizens. Changes to Delivery of Health Department Services
The health department re-opened its lobby on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. To reduce face-to-face client and staff interaction due to COVID-19, clients are encouraged to continue to use remote services whenever possible (online, telephone, fax) and practice social distancing and appropriate hygiene measures.
